The organization and planning to adapt the time and follow the routine of the class.
December is the month when the children's school vacations begin and we know that many parents have to work hard to take care of their little ones and still keep up with work and household chores. Organization and planning to adapt time and keep up with the kids' routine is essential to prevent them from getting bored and to bring a lot of fun to this time of rest.
Want to know what to do with your kids on vacation? Read on and we'll give you lots of tips!
Where to start planning your vacation?
How about printing out a weekly plan and involving your child in the construction of the activities that will take place during this period? Ask them what they would like to do (go to a friend's house, the movies, travel, the zoo, etc.) and fill it in together. By being included in the planning, they will be even more excited and will be learning how to plan from an early age.
How do you entertain and educate children at the same time during this period?
Creating physical and cultural activities are also fun ways to spend time with children during the vacations. And why not turn them into games? Below we've listed some of these activities for you to put into practice with the little ones.
1. Cooking
Children see this as an adult task, so when they are asked to take part in preparing a recipe, they will be thrilled. Get creative and arrange themed meals throughout the vacations: pizza day, hamburger day, breakfast sweets and so on. To build anticipation for the event, ask the children to sort out the ingredients during the day.
2. Cultural activities
Activities that provide children with knowledge and stimulate their creativity are essential for their personal development. The easiest way to do this is to prepare some popcorn and watch a good movie or series with the whole family. Reading books and drawing pictures are also welcome.
3. Educational games
Get your child out of their bubble (internet and TV all day). Play games of reasoning and concentration, which are played in pairs or groups and generate positive competitiveness in them. If your child is younger, you can also take them to the playground and let them get dirty. A “dirty” child is a sign of a happy child.
4. Dividing up household chores
Playing and making a mess is good, but little ones need to learn that after all the partying comes organizing. To make it easier for them, leave an organizer box at their disposal, so they know that after playing, the toys must be put away. Other activities that can be passed on to them are: looking after the animals, watering the plants and cultivating the home garden. These practices will give your child a sense of responsibility for keeping their environment organized.
5. Sports
There's nothing like physical activity to burn off the energy that children have to spare. Take them biking in the park, rollerblading, skateboarding, playing ball and even swimming. You can be sure that at the end of the day, they'll be so tired that they'll sleep like an angel all night!
Finally, how about recording what you did on vacation?
To make the end of the vacations even more special, put together a board with your favorite things and photos. After such a fun time, there's no doubt that the activities will remain in the memory of the little ones.
Remember that keeping children active is essential in order to unload all the accumulated energy and prevent them from getting bored easily. Take advantage of our tips and give your little ones an unforgettable and fun vacation.
Happy vacations!
